影山 萌子
個人と世界との間にあるリアリティーの乖離や断絶をテーマとし、それを人と土地という視点から掘り下げている。自身の原風景である東京の景観を主なモチーフとし、展覧会ごとに「観光地」「テーマパーク」等の小テーマを設定し制作する。
最近では特に、都市のテーマパーク化や、歴史的・社会的背景を持つ空間の周縁化といった問題に関心があり、それが個人の意識や身体感覚にどのような影響を与えるのかを探求している。
内的世界ではなく、実在の風景や断片的な光景をもとに、フィクショナルな風景として立ち上がらせるという手法をとる。
The theme of my work is the detachment and disconnection of reality between the individual and the world, which I explore from the perspective of people and land.
I mainly draw on the landscape of Tokyo, my own place of origin and nostalgic scenery, as a primary motif, setting sub-themes for each exhibition such as “tourist sites” or “theme parks.”
In recent years, I have been particularly interested in issues such as the theme park-ification of cities and the marginalization of spaces with historical or social backgrounds, and in exploring how these phenomena influence individual consciousness and bodily perception.
Rather than depicting the inner world, I work from actual landscapes and fragmented scenes, reconstructing them into fictional landscapes.
